Prices off-site are often substantially lower, although you need to plan ahead and make an extra stop the day you plan to hit the slopes.
For cheap ski and snowboard rentals in the Poconos, Mike N Matt’s Snowboard Shop (Route 115, Blakeslee, PA, 570-646-4795) offers a much wider selection of snowboard rentals than those available on Camelback and at better prices. They offer ski rental for $12 and snowboard rental for $18 ($150 refundable deposit required); skis, boots, poles, and snowboards are available for purchase, too.
Starting Gate Rentals and Repair (Bushkill, PA, 570-588-4807) has a ski and snowboard rental area for adults and kids featuring all shape skis and comfortable Dalbello boots for a great day on the mountain. We rent for multiple days at a reduced rate. Need a tune or repair? The repair shop features the high tech ski and snowboard tuning using the Grind Rite Machine to offer sharp edges and a smooth gliding base.

Renting from Camelback Ski area itself is also an option. The resort exclusively offers Salomon rental equipment for kids and adults. All-day rates are $33 for adults and $30 for kids; high-performance rentals are $40 per day. New this year – you can rent your items online and go directly to pick up, which can get you on the slope faster.
